Device Manager has no details for it, only that it's a problem device, indicated by a yellow exclamation symbol.
I'm completely stumped! How can I find the name and details of the device?? Three possibilities: 1. It's by default installed by Windows. That's unlikely, because I don't have one here.
It's installed when you install some particular hardware and the install program asks for the Windows CD. It's installed wheb you install some particular hardware and it's on the installation CD. So starting all over with a clean install of Windows and your hardware should definitely solve the problem. If the alternative is a non-working system, your choice is easy. Thanks for the replies - I finally managed to figure it out! One of the drivers on the Dell site worked.
